"Miss Marie Wasson was a teacher of social science at Northeast for more than twenty years. Miss Wasson was born in Kokomo, Indiana, was graduated from William Penn College, and received her Master's Degree from the University of Iowa. She began teaching in the Sanford B. Ladd Elementary School in 1914, and on January 19, 1931, came to Northeast. She remained here until March, 1953, when illness caused her retirement. She died at the home of her only sister on July 3, 1953."
