MORT drew many cartoons for the 1941 Nor'easter. The cartoon on page 116 reminds me of "Patience & Prudence", 1950's
singers. The one on page 120 looks like it is the forerunner of the "Beetle Bailey" character. MORTON was an NE Cheerleader,
himself. The one on page 122 was in reference to the NE students who raised money to help the people in England during WWII.
Little did MORTON know when he drew the cartoon, that just a few months later, the United States would be drawn into the war.
