MORTON "MORT" WALKER

On November 15, 2015 the CBS news show, which comes on Sunday mornings at 8:00 CST, aired a segment saluting the 100th Anniversary of the "Funnies" in newspapers. One of the cartoonists interviewed was Northeast High School Alumnus, Mort Walker who is still going strong at 92. He has been drawing the "Beetle Baily" comic strip for 65 years. which is the longest continuous cartoon strip shown in newspapers.
